The Key

Part III

In the last post I described myself living in a dry season and the comments were awesome. Remember some of the comments are held in moderation until your first one is approved. After that they should post automatically. This process is intended to cut down on spam.

Resuming the story. Girl who is in a dry season. Reading a book about heavenly encounters, sitting in a chair and in pain, wondering what in the world is going on. I also wonder if you are like me that when a significant event happens such as illness, accident, financial distress, children in rebellion, etc. occurs, do you ask God, “What in the world is going on?”

Is it just me?

Even after all the years of walking out my faith, when I broke my wrist, I KNEW that wasn’t from God but WHY didn’t God protect me. Well, God did explain things but only after. And I’ll share later all the brilliant lessons the Lord taught me. Stay tuned.

It’s interesting when you are “forced” to sit still what will happen. Besides watching the weeds grow outside my window, I began to really ask God with more intensity for connection, heavenly encounters and to hear Him better. During this time the thought entered my mind to listen to an old pastor I used to listen to years ago. He had since passed. But I searched for some of his old teachings on YouTube and the first one to pop up was precisely the answer to my prayer. (I’ll share the link to the teaching at the end of my story)

So one afternoon while a large ice bag sat on my arm, I listened to this pastor describe exactly what I’d been searching for. After listening to the entire message, I sat in silence in my chair. It was as if I’d been given permission to participate in something I’d been praying was real. Suddenly, it was as if I was given a key. I inserted it into a heavenly gate and the door immediately opened.

I sat in my chair and suddenly I could see. The spirit realm opened up before me. All of my senses ignited and finally I could see Jesus standing before me. His right hand was reaching out for my right hand. I reached out to Him, His face full of a smile of delight and love. He gently pulled me out of my chair and into an embrace. Then suddenly we were slow dancing together right there in my living room where He gently spun me around.

No broken arm. No impediment. Face-to-face with my Savior, whom I’ve loved deeply all of my life.

My friends, no one was more surprised than me.

What is fascinating is what followed over the next 10 days. I have so much more to share with you.

Sharing what I’m about to share is truly vulnerable. Because what I’m about to write in the coming days will challenge you. But for many, THIS is exactly what you have also been wanting all of your faith walk. Sharing my testimony is the key that I’m now passing along to you, that you may also open the door and experience the Kingdom of God through Jesus our Lord.

For now, look up these scriptures as they are the foundation for what I’m going to share next:

John 15:1
John 20:11-18
John 20:19-31
Luke 24:35-49
Luke 24:13-35
Hebrews 4:16 & 2 Corinthians 12:2-5

Anyone up for looking these up and posting in the comments? I’ll see you there. Blessings and hugs, Lynn

PS. Get ready because the best parts are ahead. Love you!!

I think God wants to be pursued. He’s not hiding (like hide and seek). He’s not silent cuz He’s mad, or punishing, or even sulking. I think He’s so full of love and overflowing with blessings for us but He wants to be wanted for Himself not for what and how He blesses us. Are we willing to love Him and be with Him in the silence, when we sense there is ‘nothing’ in it for us, seemingly ’nothing’ in return??

If, and when, we can climb up and sit in His lap with our head against His bosom (listening to His heart beat, breathing in sync with Him) then we will discover we have been given the privilege of entering into the rest talked about in Hebrews. We will not be striving, we will be still. We will know He is God, and that we are truly loved. We will have everything we need or want in that moment. This is Heaven, this is Eternal Life.

Here are the verses from John:

““I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.” ‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb. And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. Then they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.” Now when she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus. Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?” She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, “Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.” Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him, “Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher). Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’ ” Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things to her.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭20‬:‭11‬-‭18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.” Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.” And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!” Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭20‬:‭19‬-‭31‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Here are the rest of the scriptures:

“And they told about the things that had happened on the road, and how He was known to them in the breaking of bread. Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, “Peace to you.” But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed they had seen a spirit. And He said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts? Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.” When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet. But while they still did not believe for joy, and marveled, He said to them, “Have you any food here?” So they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish and some honeycomb. And He took it and ate in their presence. Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures. Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And you are witnesses of these things. Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.””
    ‭‭Luke‬ ‭24‬:‭35‬-‭49‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Now behold, two of them were traveling that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was seven miles from Jerusalem. And they talked together of all these things which had happened. So it was, while they conversed and reasoned, that Jesus Himself drew near and went with them. But their eyes were restrained, so that they did not know Him. And He said to them, “What kind of conversation is this that you have with one another as you walk and are sad?” Then the one whose name was Cleopas answered and said to Him, “Are You the only stranger in Jerusalem, and have You not known the things which happened there in these days?” And He said to them, “What things?” So they said to Him, “The things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a Prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people, and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered Him to be condemned to death, and crucified Him. But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened. Yes, and certain women of our company, who arrived at the tomb early, astonished us. When they did not find His body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said He was alive. And certain of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said; but Him they did not see.” Then He said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?” And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself. Then they drew near to the village where they were going, and He indicated that He would have gone farther. But they constrained Him, saying, “Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent.” And He went in to stay with them. Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight. And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?” So they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together, saying, “The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!” And they told about the things that had happened on the road, and how He was known to them in the breaking of bread.”
    ‭‭Luke‬ ‭24‬:‭13‬-‭35‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows—such a one was caught up to the third heaven. And I know such a man—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows— how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. Of such a one I will boast; yet of myself I will not boast, except in my infirmities.”
    ‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭2‬-‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
